Wireless MEMS, Inc. is involved in the cutting edge design, development, and manufacturing of RF MEMS switches and modules for commercial and military wireless applications. WMI was incorporated in Delaware in 2002 and operates in Oak Park, California, USA. All the founders of the company originate from HRL Laboratories, LLC (formally Hughes Research Laboratories).

WMI has improved the RF MEMS switch technology from that of HRL Laboratories over the past few years and developed a unique, tri-layer flat-beam process which holds multiple patents. This innovative tri-layer, flat beam structure features higher temperature tolerance, improved reliability and higher fabrication yield. We believer our innovations such as the planarized fabrication process (i.e. US Patent 6,962,832) and a flat cantilever beam structure (i.e. US Patent 7,230,513) can enhance the fundamental operation of RF MEMS switches and are critical to achieving superior RF MEMS switch performances.
